Cross-Accessing with Connecticut and Rhode Island
What the Northeast Alliance Means to you!
The Northeast Regional MLS Alliance is a joint venture between MLS PIN, Consolidated MLS of Western Connecticut, and State-Wide MLS of Rhode Island. This is possible with the cross-access of information between H3MLS and Connecticut and Rhode Island's program RE/Xplorer.
What will this Alliance do for MLS PIN customers?
The Alliance provides MLS PIN customers with more critical information for their business at no additional cost. The three systems are linked together, and customers from MLS PIN, Consolidated MLS, and State-Wide MLS are able to access each other's databases as part of their current MLS fees. MLS customers are also able to enter listings into Alliance services for $30.00 per listing. MLS staff does the data entry because these customers do not have cross data entry rights. There is a $20.00 renewal fee for all listings. (Please see instructions below).
The Northeast Alliance is revolutionary to the multiple listing service and the real estate industry in general. In a majority of the country it is not uncommon for a real estate professional to belong to several services at once. This can be very expensive and time consuming. The three services of the Northeast Alliance came together and decided that the best decision for their customers was to develop an alliance that would allow their customers to share information. Leadership of the alliance multiple listing services felt that it was a disservice to their customers for cross-border real estate professionals to belong to numerous multiple listing services when simply searching the system is their most valuable function.
The Northeast Regional Alliance is also a fantastic technical advancement for the real estate industry and for MLS PIN. Our new system, H3MLS cross accesses data with the other RE/Xplorer systems. It is our hope that more multiple listing services will join the alliance in the future. This would mean reaching the goal of a full New England Alliance!
PROCEDURE FOR RECIPROCAL AGREEMENTS
RHODE ISLAND (STATEWIDE MLS) RECIPROCAL AGREEMENT:
If submitting a listing to MLS Property Information Network to be entered into the MLS PIN system, you must following these specific instructions.

Fill out MLS PIN listing input form, if you do not have a form you can retrieve one from the Printable Forms portion of our website. Select the appropriate
form for the property type.

You must fill out the form completely making sure no fields that are represented by an asterisk are left blank. (Note: add office name and phone number to firm remarks which is found on the back of each form, excluding rental and business listing input forms, firm remarks are located on the front of the form. Also, in the LO field write in STW_GT, that represents a Statewide MLS listing office.)

Submit listing input form along with a $30.00 check made payable to MLS PIN to:

The Statewide MLS will verify your membership and then send it along to MLS PIN for input. (Note: you must enclose the $30.00 payment in order to enter the listing into the MLS PIN system.)

MLS PIN will receive your listing and verify that you are a licensed Massachusetts Broker. MLS PIN will then input your listing into our MLS system. We will send a print out of your listing along with a status change form to your office. You will use this status change form to make any corrections to your listing.
MLS PIN – RECIPROCAL AGREEMENT:
If submitting a listing to the Rhode Island Statewide MLS for input you must follow these specific instructions:

Fill out the Rhode Island Statewide MLS listing input form. If you do not have one of these forms you can contact MLS PIN at 1-800-695-3000 and we will fax the appropriate listing forms, status codes and Rhode Island MLS Area list to you.

You must fill out the form completely making sure that no fields that are represented by an R are left blank. (Note: add office name and office phone number to the Special Showing Instructions, which is found in the top half of each of the Rhode Island listing forms.)

Submit listing form along with a $30.00 check made payable to Statewide MLS to:

MLS PIN will then verify your membership with MLS PIN and then forward your listing and payment to Rhode Island Statewide MLS. (Note: you must enclose the $30.00 payment in order to submit your listing into the Rhode Island Statewide MLS.)

When the Rhode Island Statewide MLS receives your listing they will input you listings into their MLS system.
